Learning objectives
The workshop is an initiative of the Research Unit L'immaginario spaziale fra letteratura e geografia and, building on prior experiences, gives students the chance to improve their communication and analytical skills by involving them in the design of educational activities on geo-literary subjects. Students will consider the potential educational uses of literary texts and hone their argumentation skills with regard to the content, teaching, and methodological decisions they make in the implementation of activities; this is carried out through discussion with researchers from the Research Unit as well as teachers of subjects that fall under the Cultural Axis of Languages (Ministerial Decree No. 139/2007). Their own active involvement in professional seminar presentations and hands-on experiences will assist students in the creation of secondary school materials to be posted online in a dedicated section of the website geolitterae (https://geolitterae.unimi.it/).
Expected learning outcomes
Upon completing the workshop, attendees will be able to: set up a learning activity on geo-literary themes, giving reasons for the content, teaching, and methodological choices made; effectively convey the proposed activity in multimedia 'Articles' for the website geolitterae; work in team. Each student will consequently have developed a personal, online portfolio and acquired transferable skills that are useful in the job market.
