Learning objectives
The laboratory aims to investigate up-to-date teaching methods, tools and technologies of literature (in particular - but not limited to - Italian), of text analysis and to build teaching units for first and above all second grade secondary school.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge:
knowledge of the main methodologies for teaching literature (in particular - but not limited to - Italian); literary text analysis tools.
Skills:
knowing how to program teaching units, using the most up-to-date tools, developing the ability to select materials, ability to compare texts and methods.

Course syllabus
The first lessons include discussions on some basic themes: why literature and which literature in school today? How to teach literature? What textbooks? Which authors? Who are the classics? How to organize the lessons? How to program? Exercises in the analysis of the literary text. Finally, there are activities - individual or in groups - of programming and construction of didactic units. The materials and the bibliography for examination require literary history skills, use of specific terminology and analysis tools of the literary text acquired during secondary school.
Prerequisites for admission
No prerequisites are requested. The class is conducted entirely in Italian.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of an oral interview and a discussion on the teaching unit prepared during the lessons. The final evaluation of the exam is expressed with the approved / not approved judgment.
Attendance at lessons is strongly recommended.
Students unable to attend lessons are invited to go to the reception desk by the teacher, who will provide precise indications on the supplementary bibliography with which to replace attendance.
Foreign and incoming Erasmus students who have particular linguistic difficulties with Italian can write an email to the teacher to arrange a reception and agree on a specific program. The course program is valid until February 2024.
Students with any disabilities are kindly asked to contact the teacher in order to agree on alternative examination methods, in agreement with the competent office.
