Programma
HERBICIDES - Mode and mechanism of action; the physiological and molecular basis of plant herbicide resistance or tolerance; development of herbicide-tolerant crops. MINERAL NUTRITION OF THE HIGHER PLANTS - Nutrient acquisition and assimilation; sensing of nutritional status and regulation of nutrient uptake; biotechnological strategies to improve the use efficiency of the main mineral nutrients. PHYTOREMEDIATION - Molecular and physiological basis of metal hyperaccumulation and tolerance in plants; biotechnological approaches to increase the heavy metal phytoextraction efficiency of non-hyperaccumulator plant species. ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING - Plant bioindicators.

Students will be evaluated for their ability to organize and expose a presentation about the state of the art of a pertaining/relevant topic.
