Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with a critical knowledge of the main religious buildings of Milan between fourth and thirteenth centuries in their cultural and historical context.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the seminar the student will know the artistic and architectonic elements of the Milanese buildings in the general context of medieval art. Moreover, the student will be able to demonstrate his study and comprehension of specific bibliography by presenting some artistic aspects or works of art during the guided lessons on the sites.

An introductory classroom meeting will be followed by 4/5 seminar activities in monumental contexts in Milan, within the possibility of visiting the San Salvatore / Santa Giulia museum complex in Brescia.

Prerequisites for admission
Being enrolled in Studies in Cultural Heritage or in History and Criticism of Art.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The workshop is limited to 20 students, and provides 3 cfu through attendance and active participation in the proposed activities.
The first lesson is required. Between the next 4/5 meetings only one absence is allowed.
