Class attendance is mandatory. The laboratory consists of lectures designed to provide students with the basic tools necessary for conducting research in the humanities. These lectures focus on:
- understanding the linguistic complexity and historical variations of specialized vocabulary;
- selecting and organizing information in a relevant and systematic way;
- identifying the relationship between a document and the historical, cultural, and artistic milieu in which it was produced.
Critically evaluate texts from different periods and genres.
- Consciously using discipline-specific terminology.
Expound the results of research in an appropriate and logical manner.
Choose bibliographical tools and sources in the discipline, evaluating their reliability and appropriateness.
Develop an awareness of the value of an interdisciplinary approach.
Students will acquire these skills firstly through practical exercises on research tools and sources, and secondly through guided tours of archives, libraries, and museums. Discussing the material with the lecturer during lectures is an integral part of the teaching method that aims to foster a critical spirit and the ability to apply acquired skills and knowledge in students.
The workshop makes use of teaching materials uploaded to the MyAriel platform, including slides, texts, videos, and documents.
