Learning objectives
The teaching workshop offers the opportunity to discuss the issues connected to the constitution of the text, from the first draft to the printed edition. The works of Giuseppe Parini and Giovanni Pascoli (whose autographs are freely available online) are considered.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the laboratory the students will have to be able to contextualize the literary texts in the historical context of the author, to contribute to their commentary, to understand their main philological problems, to reconstruct their editorial fortune.

Course syllabus
The first five lessons are focused on the textual history and on the main ecdotic questions of the Giorno and the Odi of Parini; the other five allow students to test themselves with the commentary and the philological analysis of the Pascolian ode Campane a sera (Myricae).
Prerequisites for admission
No prerequisites for admission.
Teaching methods
Traditional lessons, presentation of themes and collective discussion, collective work under the supervision of the teacher (in the second part of the laboratory).

The reading of the following text is recommended:
Paola Italia, Giulia Raboni, Che cos'è la filologia d'autore, Roma, Carocci, 2010 (and reprints).
Assessment methods and Criteria
The regular participation and the successful performance of the assigned activities are verified.
