Learning objectives
The purposes of the course are
· Teach students how to read images and how to design visual artifacts.
Make them aware of the fact that every visual message of our cultural horizon can be analyzed from a logical-rational point of view according to several features: hierarchy of information, layout of the forms according to the organizational principles analyzed by the psychology of gestalt, color choices, use of typography.
· Through design workshops during the course, enable students to produce communication artifacts through three increasingly complex design exercises: designing a logo, designing a font, designing a coordinated image of a cultural institution.
