· The areas of pharmacology. Development of new compounds.
· Insights in Clinical Pharmacology.
· Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics : The dynamic of drug absorption, distribution, action, and elimination.
· Drug biotransformation (metabolism).
· Receptors: classification-structural and functional families.
· Quantitation of drug-receptor interactions and effects.
· Signal transduction and second messengers.
· Chemical mediators
· Inflammation and antiinflammatory drugs. 1

Neurotransmission: the autonomic and somatic motor nervous system
- Drugs acting at synaptic and neuroeffector junctional sites

Pharmacological effects of food components
- the example of polyunsaturated fatty acids for the treatment of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disorders.

The examination consists in an oral exam with aimed at verifying the following aspects:
