Learning objectives
The laboratory helps students consolidate their skills about history of classical art.
Expected learning outcomes
The laboratory is intended as a field test of the skills acquired in the classroom on the history of Greek and Roman art. By visiting archaeological areas and museums, students are given the great opportunity to improve their awareness and knowledge about what is in the books.

In the academic year 25-26 the travel laboratory will have as its destination the archaeological and historical-artistic Romania, with geographical insights: among the stops we can highlight the Greek colonies of Istria, Constanta, Callatis on the Black Sea, the Roman sites of Adamclisi (Tropaeum Traiani), Sarmizegetusa, Capidava (Roman castrum), Rutela. In Transylvania we will visit Sighisoara and some aspects of the local geography and geology. The itinerary ends with a visit to Bucharest, monuments and museums.
A preliminary program and instructions on how to register for the workshop will be available on the websites of the Cultural Heritage Sciences and Master's in Archaeology courses, as well as on the social media of the above-mentioned courses and on the bulletin boards, from the beginning of October 2025.

Prerequisites for admission
No particular prerequisites are required.
From the academic year 2025-2026, students of the Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences, the Master's Degree in Archaeology and History and Art Criticism who have NOT already participated in previous editions of the same laboratory will be able to participate.
The laboratory is in fact intended to award 3CFU to students who have not already recorded credits for this laboratory in their career.

Teaching methods
The trip consists of visits to museums, private collections, exhibitions, archaeological areas and monuments, introduced by the professor in charge of the laboratory and discussed together with the students partecipants. The participating students will also be asked to prepare, in turn, divided into small groups, in-depth studies on topics consistent with the travel itinerary.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The teacher verifies that the activities, consisting of both lessons and visits during the trip, are correctly followed by all participants.
